2008 Summer: Singapore in 24 hours

I was supposed to meet up with a friend who studies in Singapore and yumcha for hours. (Un)fortunately he was busy the whole day in the end, so I took this as a chance to re-discover Singapore. I’m glad I finally knew something else about Singapore besides “Orchard Road” and “Bukit Timah”. And I finally visited Esplanade..!!

2008 Summer: In Search of Culture 2 @ Georgetown Penang, Malaysia

Shortly I came back from the States, my parents and I decided to go to Penang for a few days to see how it has become since we last went there more than 10 years ago. The trip was brilliant – Georgetown is just different. It is “rich of culture” – no such thing in anywhere else in Malaysia – yet distinctly Malaysian. We all loved that place and said would go back again.

2008 Summer: Dance Vacation @ USA

My dance teacher, Celeste, always thought that I should have gone to Boulder Jazz Dance Workshop with the girls from the studio before I left for England. She convinced me to join them this Summer when I was supposed to stay in Malaysia with my family and friends, not that I’m really complaining :)

2008 Summer: In Search of Culture @ Melaka, Malaysia

My parents and I think that Melaka is one of the few culturally-rich places in Malaysia (another one would be Penang), so we went there for a weekend break.

2008 Summer: Transit @ Dubai, United Arab Emirates (Coming Soon)

Flight ticket back home is expensive, so I stopped over Dubai for a day trip. (And thought I shall never go back there, lol)It was BOILING. And not much things were pleasing to me there. :(

2008: Easter @ Norway and Finland

Sick of essays and projects and work, finally I decided to grab my bag and escape to Europe. £4 flight ticket including tax from London – Oslo. Why not?Places : (Norway) Oslo ; (Finland) Helsinki , Turku , Tampere

2008: New Year Family Gathering @ Taipei, Taiwan R.O.C (Coming Soon)

After having 15 months of new life for ALL of us, and of not seeing nor talking with each other properly, my family decided to spend some time together in Taipei.I loved that place so much that I decided that I shall work there someday.

2007 Summer: Work & Travel @ USA

I decided to do something else than going home for my first Summer. Registered myself with BUNAC and worked at an all-girls performing arts camp in a small village called Lenox, MA. I did ballet classes with a former New York City Ballet dancer and swam and practised the piano almost everyday in camp. Who believed that I was a kitchen staff there?I then traveled around the East Coast of USA and got myself an extremely b-e-a-u-t-i-ful tan!Places : the Niagara Falls, New York City, Washington DC, Charlottesville (Virginia), Asheville and Durham (North Carolina) and Boston (Massachusetts).

2006 Spring: Auditions @ UK

I wanted to do a dance BA degree in England but no one I know has ever done that. I decided to go take a look at the Universities in person (actually can’t be bothered to record myself dancing and send to the universities, haha). It was only for 10 days, but was also the first time I traveled alone and independently.

Places: London , Liverpool
